Shout-out to Hornady

I would like to give a shout-out to Hornady for their amazing customer service.

Recently I purchased a used Balance Beam Scale from a forum member here on the EE. When I put it to use I could not get it to function properly. It was inconsistent and I had zero confidence in it. I contacted Hornady and after troubleshooting with a technician they decided to replace it with a brand new unit even though they knew I was not the original owner. The new unit pictured below is a joy to use.

I am a lab technician by trade and have used analytical balances and other scales throughout my career, but this scale amazes me how accurate it is despite it's apparent low tech.

That's great service!

I've been using a balance beam RCBS scale for the last 30 something years and it's never let me down. I've had several electronic ones as well but the balance beam is the one that see's the most use. And I also use the LEE dippers like you are too!

I’m glad that scale is working for you. I went through several of them a few years ago when they first came out and Hornady decided to send me a LNL electronic bench scale instead of sending another beam scale. That electronic one has been a very good scale.
Hornady has always repaired or replaced anything that I’ve had an issue with, no hassle and always free of charge.

Hornady has been great to deal with in my experience as well. Replaced 2 autocharges for me well past the warranty.

Well I'm glad their reloading gear warranty is good because if you have problems with their ammo they will just blame you and your guns for everything.

Hornady is excellent to deal with. Several years ago they sent me replacement parts for a set of reloading dies that I broke due to inattention. No questions. Just solid support.
