Looking for inspiration for my 3gun setup. Leaning towards a battle belt but would consider a chest rig.

Curious how people setup their mags. Pistol, carbine and shotty mags (11rd and 6-7 rounders)

Cheers!

SO far im currently planning to run my shotgun mags from a dump pouch mainly.... and depending on how well everything places on my belt and plate carrier, and if i can get 11rnders to work in my shotgun; I may try to use Tacos to hold a few shotgun mags as well (which there are guys ive seen run those with great success)

My maxpedition dump pouch seems to hold 4 Valtro mags quite easily and they are handy to reach. The bag however weighs a fair bit when loaded so I may be requiring a battle belt in the future to support it (appose to my casual leather belt) .

I might be off loading a few modified 11 rd SAP6 mags for the PM5 here in the near future..

I'd like to keep everything secure on the belt. Nothing I hate worse than equipment that is flopping around.

oh and....:needPics:

Mmmm tacos, HSGI onesfit them no issues! I run a belt rig with the rifle in the back pistol in the front tacos. Fits the shotguns mags no issue and can easily fit 4-6 on the left side of my belt.

Was just checking those out actually! Do you use a MOLLE (battle) belt, or is there a way to secure tacos to a competition style belt?

Personally I use a TYR tactical BELT RIG (2 Mille lops on a standard 2" rigger belt. However DS tactical has the tacos that can rig tight into a Race belt...

Personally I hate the (no military gear 3 gun comps) my range doesn't care. I find tacos to be the fastest and most versatile mag system out there. I love both TYR and HSGI top quality!

They make two versions. One for Molle and one for duty belt type set ups. Duty belt version is basically Velcro wrap.

Why waste your time with an adapter when you can get what you want from the get go.

Received some HSGI tacos and started testing them with the 7 and 11 rd mags. HSGI HCM tacos seem to work well with the 11rd mags. I'll be moving the HCM tacos to the back of the belt after I receive the rest of my tacos and source a 45 degree PALS loop panel.

Something like this?

I think that's a good idea.
Pouches mounted at 45 degrees would really help in grabbing one of those huge mags from your back.

Yup. thats exactly what I was thinking. I've been reconsidering though and think it might work better to mount one 11 rounder horizontally on the back of my belt and one horizontally on the front.
