Lol I think Armedsask had a hate on for me because of the 1919's awhile back... I gotta agree with our flatland friend in this case though, you've clearly got an unfair proportion of this board's firepower.

But it sounds like we are too late; these were brought into Canada a decade ago? I imagine they've been sitting somewhere waiting to be cleared/released and finally were right? Am I warm?... could someone please post the entire story on these from start ot finish.

Could someone post the makers website? I tried doing a search but came up with nothing... I've contacted Wolverine already and they need to know the maker to see if it is even possible to bring in more.
Also, I am still confused as to why at least 3 people just bought them now, new. Where were they for the last 5 years?

Well the U.S made ones were craptastic peices of kit. Never heard of them being made in SA but I'm sure you can only polish a turd so much. They were made cheaply and shoot the same. Shoot it and see if it's any good. If may have some collecter interest as a saturday night special and 70/80 gangster gun but even if we could get it in FA it would still be at the bottom of my list.

These guns are now made by Milkor in South Africa. Milkor will not deal with the private sector at all. They manufacture it under the name BXP.

Sorry no pic, but I do own one.
I bought one two years ago for $650 plus tax with one original and 4 modified mags.
Mine has the folding stock on it (with a Taurus logo and name on the buttpad", and the flash suppressor. This one seems to have passed through the states before it was illegal to sell "asault weapons" under the Clinton adminstration.
It takes a while to figure out the sights, but once you have mastered them, it is a tack driver.
I find it strongly built, and is quite heavy. The only complaint I have is that it does not lock upon, and it is hard to get the bolt to stay back with the safety, so in order to make it safe on the line at our gun club I have to half field strip it.
They are restricted only, and good luck ever finding another one. I have seen them sell for over $1000.
By the way Ardent, I am still loving my 1919 I bought off of you.
You should see the looks I get when I have those, and other goodies, at the range during hunting season.
