I know that a lot of Nutz are down on pistol grip SGs but I find a good folding stock is a good compromise between having a stocked shotgun for accurate shooting out to 25-50 yards and having a short enough OAL to cart around when you are in the bush/vehicles.

I'm running what must be the ugliest top folder in the world: the Choate all steel top folder. It locks up tight, is all steel and very tough and Choate has some of the best customer service I have ever seen. The stock in the folded position can be used as a carry handle. It is painful to shoot with the small pad but I just man up when I shoot slugs.

Never was a fan either, then I got one and liked it. One's enough though, and I got plenty more guns for winter use.

They are really just an extended option for a pistol grip shotgun. And I'm mean c'mon...they look cool! Lol!

And we all remember this tough chick used one...

Hatsan semi auto with over folder. It's cool. Reality is shooting with the regular stock/pistol grip is more practical. But sometimes you have to give up comfort and practicality for the cool factor.

I love that the Choate folder doubles as a carrying handle. More functionality for the win!
