Sickening waste

...................actually what is lame is how easy it is to get your card which gives you full right to go out and hammer as much game as you want. Pretty much any french canadian can get one.

.........heres a good one for ya. My aunts husband just got his card. The funny thing is his brother is Denis Ducharme who is one of the MLA's on the task force/board doing a study on this debacle. Denis has twelve brothers and sisters now no doubt scrambling to get their cards as all of a sudden they are Metis. What stance do you think Mr. Ducharme has now that his family are card carrying members of the Metis "kill anything, anytime and as much" club???

IBTL:D :D :D

So somehow this makes it the "Metis" the one's too blame? Pretty broad strokes.

You seem to have all the answers. Jealous perhaps? Or are you just a racist?

I'm a Metis and you know what, haven't even thought of going out but when I do...oh boy! Think I'll take my AR15's as I'm above the law! and just shoot and shoot and shoot. Us metis have no ethics you know and are just wildlife destroyers and kill just for the sake of killing.

JEBUS CHRIST, if one shoots an animal and only takes certain parts .. IE:the antlers or just tongues ... they are NOT hunters ... period ... and I don't care if they are Metis, green, white, brown, mukmuk whatever ... leaving a full animal and only taking tongues, antlers for trophies are grounds for charges, taking possession of all their hunting gear, rifles, vehicles, etc in my opinion ... I believe most real hunters use all of the meat, hind quarters, ribs, tongues, etc and eat it ... or at the very least bring it home and spread it around with family, friends or neighbours/elders! A poacher is a poacher regardless of what faaaaaarken RACE they are ... jesus we got some real hero's on this board eh?!

p.s. to the ORIGINAL poster, I too can't stand/hate idiots who waste ...

this is heading the same way our guns are heading....lets find a place to put the blame....shame on you,s all...it was a #### head that done this..no matter what breed or creed or country they came from:redface:

i dont know bout you guys but i was raised that hunting is a legacy one where you treat your tools with respect and your game with respect what you shoot you keep "ALL OF IT" and use all of it it is not meant to be about the size of its rack or how big of a spread the hunt is for feeding your family for by leaving a carcass to rot and only taking select parts home you are disrespecting the game, the other hunters who acctuly care, and you make this legacy scarse by showing the anti's that all hunters are like that

if i or anyone in my family happen to come across someone taking part in this foul act we have all been taught to use our legal rights to get the peoples vehicle ids and other info as best we can and notify the CO'S as soon as posible (i'd like to kick the living excrement out of them) but were not allowed to do that

Folks sorry for getting off topic. I just feel the Metis situation adds fuel to the fire in regards to more people being able to "hail" bullets in the off season and possible wasting and maiming of animals can occur.

...............i am also the furthest from a racist their is. Was born in NWT and some of my parents closest friends were natives when i grew up in Mac.

............Nes i am french Canadian. I can guarantee if i wanted i could get a Metis card in under 1 year of application. Maybe i should. A racist i am not. I am also a person that is unwilling to exploit and use the fact that i am probably Metis and use that to my hunting benefits. Why do you think there is a sudden backlog of Metis applications right now as i am typing this and you are reading this.?? I can guarantee you its not because of a sudden interest in the Metis way.

as a side note, that big whole deer minus his head i found, was called in to Report A Poacher by myself. I gave directions as well as my GPS coordinates. Probably didn't help much but the incident didn't go unheard. It was well below zero and the body was still soft and not rotting so i am thinking it happened the night before perhaps. Sometimes i say to myself i would love to catch the bastards in the act but frick they have guns too.

That has always been my thoughts. There is NO WAY a living animal should be killed just to be thrown in the garbage. It dont matter to me if its something wild or even something domestic like cows pigs etc. That animal was a living creature. It was killed to do us a favour. We should show it some respect and at least utilize as much of it as we can. What I tell people when I give them wild meat to try, if you dont like it do not throw it out, and give it back to me. I dont think an animal should be killed just to be thrown away. Just my opinion.

Poaching and fish and game violations are going on all across the country.:(
There is less and less money available for enforcment and the fish cops are stretched pretty thin in most of the provinces.
Maybe we should be asking these questions to our politicians instead of making allegations and pointing fingers at specific groups!

food for fish

I live in the yukon I have seen the same thing here as everywhere else a friend of mine was working on the border of the yukon and the nwt and in the community he was working in it was spring so they were cleaning out the towns meat supply and through 250 dead skinned out but still whole caribou in to the river because it was rotten. This happens every year.
