Some time ago I received a small ring mauser rifle with a complete side base and rings to go with it. The three mount holes on the base are in a line, which I have been led to believe mean this was a civilian produced assembly, not a military one - various military ones seem to have the middle hole higher - not in a line, although I may have got that story mixed up.
I just acquired another similar side mount base, but as appears usual with ex-milsurp accessories, it is different. I would like to find a matching set of rings for it - I have another small ring rifle that was drilled and tapped for this hole pattern - just need the rings - if I could figure out what it is that I am looking for - hoping someone here can explain to me!!
Picture below is showing the two. On left is a matching set - rings slide on and tighten to the left base - right base is the orphan for which I will look for rings, if someone can tell me what it is that I am looking for.

Note how the matched base has a smooth top with a semi-circle shaped recoil stop at its left end. It is shorter - measures 2.563 long, front to back. The orphan has a flat recoil stop on the left end, has two grooves across its top, and measures 2.835" long, so .272" - ish longer.

For both of the bases, that top surface is the top of a dovetail, but not the same size. This picture shows the "matching base" is .370" wide ...

And this picture shows the longer "orphan" is .349" wide.

As mentioned, the matching base has a semi-circle recoil stud, and the underside of the ring has a matching semi-circle shape

When assembled, the matching rings slide snugly and completely onto the matching base and the recoil semi circle is engaging to prevent the scope from "walking forward" under recoil

So, I would appreciate if anyone can identify what that "orphan" base might be - I have seen these side bases / side mount rings on Swede rifles (on TradeEx site), but have also read that they were "german" made - no mention that I have found referring to brand, etc. Also, would appreciate any suggestions where to look for this stuff! If it matters, both of my rifles are drilled and tapped for a 5mm thread - have not determined the thread pitch, since both set-ups came to me with their mounting screws, which both of my rifles accept.
