After getting some repsonses back last night, we have decided to put the ISU back on Sunday at Mons. People were looking forward to shooting the Long Range on Saturday and the ISU Sunday. Sorry for the flip flop but we have to do what is best for all involved and it seems like the weather is brightening up for Sunday.
Again guys enjoy the long range at Mons and see you on Sunday for the ISU (Mons Range).

Fazal

ONT0001 Hey , will you be out this weekend. I could give you funds then for the match.
and also.... ah hmmm, could you talk sierra into giving 6 mm 107gr's out too. I have no use for all the .308's laff, I have to keep trying to trade em off.
Terry told me he's gonna win anyways...maybe i can force a shoot off.

It's gonna be touch and go for me that day. Relatives from far and wide are showing up for a BABY shower that weekend! They're supposed to leave on the 7th. I'll have to cash in all my brownie points to make it. What the hell, save me a spot, and some Sierra bullets!

IP-had to cancel out on trainning day at Borden this weekend but will try and make practice there the following Sat.
1st PR Match is on Sat May 2 at Borden (should list that as a note here)
Terry ...YOU had another baby?????at YOUR age??????Thought you only fired blanks these days.:)
Hope to see you on the flats soon.
Gord

Terry, a baby shower at your advanced age? Way to go:dancingbanana: You will be able to collect baby bonus and old age pension at the same time:nest:
Now where did I put that flak jacket and helmet?:p

Well, we're having fun with this one.

#1 - the baby is my grandson.
#2 - my advanced age is the new 40's, and I can prove it.
#3 - the day I actually attend a baby shower...when the Leafs win the Cup, or Hell freezes, or I get told to.

Remember to advise Match Director Fazal of your plans to attend well in advance as he needs to get markers hired.
More info can be had from ORA website event calender.

Notice match date change to sat june 6

Due to bad weather predicted for Sunday 7th,the match has been rescheduled for SAT JUNE 6 and LOCATION MOVED to AMIENS RANGE.
Fax just rec'd by Match Director Fazal. Please advise him if you cannot attend due to changes.
Thanks
Gord

Oh damn

Guess I'm not helping ric with the 900-1000 yd final training day.... laff.
I'll be at Amiens shooting 300.
I'll have to find out how to contact Fazal.

Been raining softly most of the morning. Weather station says probably rain till about 1 PM............... um, the match sould be over by then I think.... :(

We actually got lucky today, grass was wet this morning but no real rain came down.
Clouds blew past gently and we were dry for the most part if maybe a little chilly.
After the lunch break things got almost balmy, laff.

A good time was had by all and we had great markers for the targets today.

and a few comments.....
Although shot under the threat of rain ,the heavy skies managed only to produce a
"high humidity" and very cool bordering on COLD conditions.
Matches were unlimited sighters then 20 shots on score at 300 yards 3 times over the day.
Mike has already noted how well the Target Crew performed and a THANKS goes out to John (RSO) for keeping things moving and safe and Fazal for getting this together.
Also of note and submitted for confirmation....

Des Vamplew M class TR scored a 598 of a possible 600 and what is beleived to be a new ORA TR record. This is one heck of an accomplishment ,not only under those conditions, but remember this is TR prone, sling and open sight!!!
Also as a first ,Service Rifle was added to the Classes in this ISU Match.
Congratulations to Dave Atkins who posted his winning score of 584/600 !
I hope that Service Rifle shooters will support this and we will this grow at next years match.
Great to see some younger, future Canada's best shooters come out and shoot with the family.Am hoping to see them back again .
To access thes results or to see what activities /matches are planned and upcoming with the ORA ,please visit the website and checkout the calendar.
Thanks
(I got lucky)
Gord

Thanks Guys,Somedays I get lucky.
Must appologize but I will not be able to make Kingston this weekend Terry.
Am disappointed ,as I think Kingston has one of the most beautiful and enjoyable ranges in Ontario.
Will hope to see you at ORA Precision Match 2 on June 21 at Mons.
