Hello folks, new pistol and scratching my head...
Finally took my Sig 1911 22lr out to the range. I opened the action, loaded up a mag, released the slide and chambered a round. Pulled the trigger and the first shot went off. I pulled the trigger a second time and nothing happened. I manually ejected the spent brass and chambered another round. This time it fired normally and I cycled through the final 9 rounds without any issues.
I loaded another mag and the same thing happened...put about 60 rounds through and the same thing happened each time. The first shot fires but I have to manually eject and chamber the second round - the following rounds in the mag are fine.
Not sure if this is a safety feature (manually doesn't say anything, nor does it make sense) or does it sound like an issue. I was thinking ammo (Federal) but that doesn't make sense either...it's only the first round that doesn't seem to extract.
Anyone heard of this before?
