Very accurate...in the right hands.
I personally find the trigger pull to be 'vague', didn't like the way the gun rocked in my hands when fired, and suffered the dreaded ' first web space hammer bite'...Now I know what's it's like to be a snake handler!
It's a 'classic' along the lines of the 1911, Browning Hi Power, etc., but I just didn't warm to it for the previously noted reasons.
I 'solved' the dilemma of owning an accurate centre fire pistol by recently scoring a NIB S&W 52...Now you're talking...resolves all of my issues!

love mine... P210-6 (80's vintage) and a very early (late 50's to early 60's) P210-5 with 150mm barrel.
sweet sweet shooters. easily the most accurate semiautos i have in the collection. the trigger has a bit of take up, but breaks like the proverbial glass rod. they weigh a bit more than more modern pistols, but i think this helps in controlling what little recoil the 9mm has. the grip is perfect for me.
the P210 is not a perfect gun for me though... as much as i love them. my P210-6 does bite me in the web of the hand, but my P210-5 doesn't... weird. i plan on getting a Nills screw on beavertail for the P210-6. the heel release for the mag is not great, but i don't mind it too much. the safety is the are i have a gripe with. when new, the safety is difficult to use, as it needs to be broken in. i have grooves on both of my guns that i had to wear in. the safety is small... i would like to see SIG come out with a 'gas pedal' safety. they have them on their competition P210s and americanized versions, but i haven't been able to track one down aftermarket... that is affordable. mags are expensive.
some who have shot my P210s do not like the 'slack' on the initial take up of the trigger. i can understand that... but the P210 was intended for military carry, and that little slack helped the shooter know he was pulling the trigger, or at least, that is my reasoning for it.

The pivoting trigger looks very similar in set-up to those on the single action 1911 style Star semi-autos. Anyone know if it is?
The three Star 9mm's I've owned.... two "B's" and one "BM" have had nice trigger pulls and have been very accurate. 'Course they are a fraction of the cost of a Sig P-210.... Still if I had the opportunity I'd buy the Sig, too.
