sig 220 or sig 226 both dark elite

Hello

Which Sig should I buy. The Sig 226 in 40 s&w or the sig 220 in 45acp? Both are the dark elite.
I currently reload 45acp, but I like the high capacity 40s&w

Are the grips similar?
any pro's or cons for each caliber woudl be appreciated.

220 is a single stack and has a narrower grip.

10 rnd mags are available for the 220 as well

I owned both. liked 226 better.

Personally I found the grip on 226 to fit me better. it's thicker than 220's grip but not as long

The 220 grips are longer but thinner where the 226 are wider but shorter. The 220 still feels smaller in my hands, but I do prefer the 226 (personal pref). The grip angle is also different; I read that the 220 is more "Euro" and the 226 more "American". Again, I prefer the 226. The 220 angle is more pronounced, it's more.. "Glockish"

Interesting, Ive shot the both the 220 and 226 fairly extensivly and never reallly noticed the grip angle...having said that, I prefer the the 220.

See if you can handle and shoot both then you will know what works best in your hand.
