Okay guys something doesnt seem right. I ordered a new set of E2 grips and a SRT trigger kit from questar. Just arrived today and couldn't wait to put family to bed to play. I was somewhat unfamiliar with complete disassembly of the gun, but am very familiar now. The grips went on easy so I tackled the SRT.

The SRT comes with 2 parts. The new sear and safety catch lever. My issue is the new safety piece. I for the life of me cannot get the slide back on the gun because of this protruding safety piece. The older one I took out looks very different and is .604" long. The new L shaped one is .906 long and has a bit of up and down wiggle. It seems as if it should drop down into the gun so the slide could fit, but it won't. There is more up and down wiggle if you #### the hammer. From what I observe in my minimal experience is that the through pin that holds the trigger sits at the back of this new safety piece. If there was a notch cut into the piece so this pin could recess into, then the top part of the safety would in fact drop out of the way for the slide to go on.
Or perhaps I am completely missing something. If you have done the SRT job and could find time to help me out before I go hacking these new parts to make them fit, that would be greatly appreciated.
