re

was able to secure 3 today! bought 2 30rnd and 1 20 rnd from Colorado. Very, very, very picey though! $159.00 US ea for the 20 and $169.00 USD ea for the 30`s. Hated like heck to pay this much but absolutely nobody else has `em or is getting them anytime soon..........oh well!

Wolverine has the B&T picatinny rail for the recievers in stock! FYI

lmao that's sad. It's friggen sad that a piece of plastic and bits of steel can cost that much...

WHY??? hard to get into the country?

I am looking for 20 or 30 rnd (pinned at 5 of course) magazines for my SG 552.Does anyone know of where to get some besides ordering through Wolverine?

Good luck getting them into the country without and issues. Hopefully you get a CBSA guy that does not have his head up his ass.

I guess you are leaving them in the US ?If not do you have an import permit permit from the DFA ?or does the seller have an Export permit from the US State Dept.?If the mags are being shipped to Canada are they going to pinned to 5 rnds here or is the seller doing it for you ?.

re

These were pinned by a third party gun dealer and then will be shipped on from there. Cannot bring hi-cap mags into Canada and then pin them....that is illegal unless you are a dealer.

Dealers cannot bring in Mags and pin them ,They are they breaking the law as once a Prohibted device unpinned magizine enters into the dealers inventory IE this means takes delivery they cannot pin the magizine and sell to the public. Must be sold to end users , authorized bussiness's or persons.

Pinned mags can not come across the border. I had a shipment of 3 30 round Orlite AR15 magazines PINNED and EPOXIED to hold 4 rounds each. Customs siezed them as prohibited devices. I appealed and they were sent to an RCMP firearms lab for testing. The tech at the lab used a drill press and managed to get them converted enough to hold 26 rounds. I lost the appeal and Customs destroyed them. That was 30 USD worth of mags. I shudder to think of you losing HUNDREDS of dollars worth of mags...

For some odd reason every parcel for the next year was opened by them as well...

I wonder why they wouldn't accept those mags as being ok? Doesn't sound like your mags were any differently pinned than mags that can be bought in Canada.

re

with a drill press and a dremel I can also make a pinned AR 15 mag hold 30 rounds and these "pinned" mags are commonly available from dealers in Canada? A simple rivet will not stop a determined individual from doing what is wrong!

Welcome to the wonderfull world of stupid human tricks CFC style, very few of their laws make sense. Maybe they should of hired someone with firearms experience instead of a business degree.

Good luck with both of the border busters and all those other 3 letter agencies, too many to list.

I don't think you are right. Licensed importers who are licensed to handle prohibited items bring in the 30's and pin them here in Canada. If by dealer you meant a dealer who isn't properly licensed to do so, then yes.
