SIG AMT rifle - any in Canada?

It is on this list, probably won't be able to find one in Canada.

My dad was issued a Stgw 57 when he entered basic training.
After finishing his military service in 2000 he kept it (converted to semi-auto) and passed it on to me.
It's been sitting in the gunsafe for the last 7 years because it's a heavy piece (6,5kg) of #### that's an ergonomical nightmare (for example: fold down-sights!!).
I don't like shooting it and only keep it because my dad carried it in his 20 years of military service.

I have seen examples of both the Stgw 57 and the SIG AMT in Canada, but not in a long time. The numbers present in this country are probably in the single digits.

I've seen 1 SIG AMT , that was afew years ago here in Alberta

There are a small number of SIG AMTs in Canada I think about 20 from my recollection and a small number of PE57s as well. Some are Converted Auto ( Sig 510-4) and some Full Auto ( PE-57 ) and also the 12-5 version. They are an excellent rifle and very accurate. I would love to be able to get mine back to the range ( SIG AMT ) It impressed me enough for me to buy a SIG Classic Green when they came out and from there to a SIG CQB as well. All of them are superb firearms. rigrat
