I've read that with selected or handloaded ammo it's a very accurate rifle . Would you consider it a ,'precision' rifle ? If not then where does , 'very accurate' end and 'precision' begin ?

"Precision is the man behind the bolt, the rifle is one of the tools to get you there." A wise quote from the Long Range Canuck feel free to use it.:p ;) :D :)

I'll throw some typically uninformed light on this....

Accurate is a one inch, five shot group at one hundred meters (in good conditions)
Precision is a one inch five shot group at two hundred meters every time

GT, Wow, now that is an answer....

As always, it depends on the task required from the 'tool'.

As a battle/assault rifle, the Sig is both accurate and precise with relation to its peers and intended use.

However, if compared to BR paper punchers or used for said task (BR comp shooting), it is neither.

Accuracy, is the mechanical capability of the device......Precision, is the ability of the operator to capitalize on the accuracy of the device.
