Unfortunately I could not find the charger for my camera and had to use my phone. I'm off to the range to try out my new gear. :)

Congratulations ! You've got yourself a great gun. I've put a few thousand rounds through mine and still enjoy it immensely. Nothing like putting 10 rounds into 1 inch circles at 10 yds to make ya feel good. And dirt cheap to shoot, even with your "expensive" ammo:).

BTW, you'll find that when you run out of Minimags, that you can buy Federal Gameshocks, which come in an eerily similar box, and look just the same, and shoot just the same, for a little cheaper than the Minimags. Heh.

Thanks for the info. I've been reading (I could be mis-informed)... it's better to "break in" the Sig .22 with better quality round like the Mini Mag, before moving on to the cheaper ammo.

You can't believe how hard it has been to find any CCI Mini Mags anywhere for a decent price. There are a few dealers around town that carry them, but they are usually out of stock and they want an arm and a leg for them. The cheapest place I've found them has been at WSS. When they get some in stock, they're all sold out by the time I get there. Usually bought up by the guys who work the firearms counter.

In December 2009 I was fortunate to get a call from my cousin in Cowtown, who said Russell's Sports was going out of business and had the ammo on sale. I managed to grab a few bricks for about $27 each. I've been looking around town, just in case there's a good deal on ammo, and it seems like the cheapest brick of 22LR is about $30...and that's the "cheap" brand.

I guess I was a little too subtle. Let me reiterate:

"Federal Gameshocks, which come in an eerily similar box, and look just the same, and shoot just the same"

I'll leave it to you to look up the name of the manufacturing plant they're both made in.
