One thing that gets me about the CPO SIGs is I don't know what their shooting life has been like.

how many rounds do they see before their refurbishing?

I'd love to get a sig in 9mm CPO seem like an ok choice but it makes me nervous.

I could just get an old german made one with a couple dings here and there for the same price.

Normally VG+ conditions
Round count is basically impossible to assess, but, as said before, police turn in should be fairly low. Normally, it's holster wear and that is corrected qduring the CPO process

It's all depend on the price of new. Last summer, you could get a brand new 226 for 900-950$, making it less appealing for a CPO that sells for 800 ish...

Looks like the price of new Sig is going up, so should be worth it again

Just my 2 cents

I had two consecutively numbered P226 9mm guns that looked like they were never even issued. Given the serial numbers that may have been the case, in any event neither gun ever had any issues.

My understanding is that the slides are refinished if required but the frames are not re-anodized. Most the frames I have seen seemed to be pretty close to new. I recall a few that had a few minor wear spots, but most showed no wear at all.
CPOs were the last way to receive non railed guns and older style slides.
