Sig CQBs in stock at TargetSports *huge pics*

I find that the length of pull on the factory folding stock works fine for me, but
the adjustability allowed by the fitment of the AR stock may work better for others.......
I guess that's why I'll be getting the AR adapter for my new CQB.....
I love to have options!:D

My AR stock collapses about 4". That's a pretty noticeable difference.

Body armor and clothing is one reason for it. You can't have the same cheek weld in a t-shirt as you will in a heavy jacket or armor unless you can adjust the stock.

Another is the size of the person using it. I'm a big guy and most people don't find my AR comfortable to shoot until I show them they can shorten the stock a couple inches. It really does make a difference.

but exactly how does adding an AR-15 collapsible stock (that only collapses a couple of inches) going to add measurably to the "utility" of the CQB?

I already like the ergonomics of the stock folding SIG stock. I can shoot it accurately in either a T-Shirt, or wearing 6 layers of winter clothes when its -20 C (which should adequately simulate the thickness of body armour vis a vis guys over in the "Sand Box.") I'm not being snarky here, I'd genuinely like to know?

As the owner of the gun displayed let me provide you with the reasoning behind my decision. The factory side-folder is great and does what it is supposed to, personally I have always preferred a shorter stock on a firearm designed for CQB work. However the LMT/Crane stock provides me with a better check weld, along with muscle memory from one firearm to another, as a matter of fact I also have a AR shotgun adaptor that also uses the same stock. If you prefer the factory stock fill your boots, and not a word from me on your selection, but having seen & handled the firearms "The ShootingEdge provided to the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) for carbine testing and selection, you should know that a retractable stock was called for in the tender, allowing a much greater range of fit to the shooters, picture shooters both male and female starting at 5" nothing right up to 6"6+ in stature. Admittedly I do have a soft spot for the LMT/Crane stock, but that is because it works for me, I would like you to try the combination you might be surprised at how well it works.

p.s. it might not be pretty to seem but it is extremely functional to me and those that have tried it.

This is a Magpul mounted with the GemTech adaptor:

And with a standard A2 stock:

Poly -- I took those two pics of the Gemtech adaptor at SHOT a few years ago -- it is NOT SWISS ARMS/SIG's -- but GEMTECH's Kel Whelan designed it -- Sig at the time did not care (every ones know they are infallible right  and where saying no one needed a collapsible folder)

That is Gunplumberr obligingly holding the stock out for me to photo...
