Sig GSR 1911 - Good? Bad? Ugly?

Anyone have experience with the Sig GSR 1911?

Don't care about what you may have read but what you have experienced with your very own Sig GSR.

Good? Bad? Ugly? Stick with the 220?

Do a search on sigforum...lot's of stuff written on this subject. The general consensus is that the quality and workmanship is not on same level as the P22x guns.

I've only fired a couple of mags through one. It functioned fine with no stopages, good accuracy and feel. I prefer the 220 to a 1911.

Matt left Sigarms when production started. It was due to disagreements on production. Don't go by his name on this one...

it looks nice for sure, from what understand early models had some problems newer once might be better.

I have only dry fired one GSR and checked the barrel lock up and slide to frame fit. I was far more impressed by the Kimber Classic that I looked at nest to the GSR, the trigger on the Kimber was lighter and smoother than the GSR. I also found the GSR "ugly" when compared to the Kimber. Best part is that the Kimber was almost $300 cheaper.

On the $1000+ 1911's, I'd be looking for a ramped, bushingless barrel......

Some of you really need to read..simple question..bad answer .. He want to know about personnal experience..so if you do not have any why bull#### your way trought ??
