sig mag issues

So here is my problem,

I have a mag for my p226 9mm its a sig all metal 10rnd, standard that came with the pistol but when i put 5 or more rounds in it, the slide locks back with 1 rnd left in the mag none of my other mags do that. I'm using 124gr AE 9mm.

Anyone have this problem, any recommendations?

Also have pulled the mag apart, cleaned and re oiled it. No change.

Only thing i can see is the last round in the mag sems to not be seated all the way to the back of the mag.

Place your rounds in the mag and give it a good smack at the rear to seat the rounds to the back.

Maybe it wasn't pinned properly? Does it have room to fit 10 and seat them properly? I got rid of all the Checkmate mags (company that currently makes the mags for Sig) that came with my 226 and bought Mec-Gar 10rd mags with the baseplate. Much better magazines.

also tried this diden't work, and its always on the last round of the mag that i get the problem.

some of my mags are harder to fit the last round in but the one with the problem actually have no problem getting all the rounds in. they are also defaut 10rnd mags so as far as i can see there is no pin to limit capacity.

It does it only with 1 single mag?

The action lock back is achieved by an arm on the follower who push the slide lock lever up when the mag is empty. Maybe there is something wrong with the follower on that particular mag? Can you swap it with a follower of another working mag and see if it works?

yep its only 1 of my 5 mags that has the problem put a piece of tape on the bottom to make sure it was always the same one. i will try to switch the follower and see if thats the problem.
