I'm getting a P226 in the comming weeks. I got my heart set on a MK25 but it doesn't fit regular P226R holsters due to it's larger rail. There doesn't seem to be many holsters available for the MK25 out there. So far, my search gives me two options: The Safariland 6377 and 6378 which are impossible to find and the Fobus for the Sig P2022 which is said to fit the MK25.

Anyone out there with other options or is this all there is?

I've read great reviews about the MK25, especially on the Sig Forum, and it seems like THE Sig for me. I like the regular grip and the fat trigger that gives it a more robust look. But I need a holster for it and will not wait weeks or months to get my hands on one.

What other holsters are there out there????

If I don't find one, I'll have to get a regular P226R and change the E2 grip to a regular one.

using my Google-foo I have come up with the following solutions to your dilemma

"Adrian Andrews at Kaluban Cloak said they do in fact make a holster for the MK 25"

"I got a great Galco holster (the Avenger) for my P226 Mk25. Purchased it from opticsplanet.c om"

"I use a Nelson Leather company IWB summer comfort type for my Mk25 and 220. "

"Mine rides in a Safariland ALS. "

"The Fella Here made me a nice one hand made tooled leather for $38.00 delivered... http://w w w.woodenleather.com/ He did a Great job, and quick turnaround..."

There's a few options for you

My buddy bought a Mk25 a few months ago from Questar and ordered a holster for it at the same time. The holster would fit a regular 226 but not the Mk25. He managed to return it and get credit for it as they did not know there was a difference in holster fit. He ended up buying a holster from an Israeli company and it fits a charm. Here is a link, hope it helps:

I have a Norinco NP22 and it shoots great. I shot my friends Mk25 last week and I have to admit I am a tad jealous now. Compared to the regular Sig 226 it is a step up in smooth IMHO.

The one time I saw a MK25 in person (at Wanstalls a few months ago) and held it, it was like a dream. Wanted it since then, but came upon a regular 226 for an amazing price and couldn't pass it up. Now just to wait until next year and try to buy the MK25, hopefully the wife won't notice and will only see one or the other and think I still just have the one. OP good luck in finding a holster, please tell us what you end up with along with a quick review if you have the time.
