SIG MK25 magazines

The MK25 magazines are coated in phosphate. Some people in other threads were making a big deal about them, so I figured I'd throw this opportunity out there.

Without having actually seen these MK25 mags I really can't comment on the extra value.

Mec-Gar or checkmate? I heard Mec-Gar only sells the Mk 25 Mags to Sig? might be interested in a few. Im glad you are trying to bring a great selection of magazines in. Some dealers on here can't even take the time to respond to a simple yes or no answer.

I bought a MK25, which came with 3 mags, and bought another 2 regular 226 9mm mags NIB from a guy on here.

I cannot see any difference whatsoever, they look exactly the same inside and out, they don't have that rainbow-colouring that some of the gun parts have from the phosphate, and they all have the same minor scratches after a while of use.

I contacted SIG about this, they said that the gun was phosphate-coated, but the magazines were not.

There's 3 different answers floating around out there...just my 2 cents.

BTW, mine look to be phosphate coated. They are the same hue as the decocker, slide release, etc. Different feel too.
Much different than my 226 TacOps mags.

Also, as a side note. My barrel on the MK25 looks to be chromed. Seems not all of them are.. maybe it's the same with the magazines. Some are... some aren't.
