Sig P220 scorpion or match

Been looking for a new .45 and this model interests me.

This .45 looks amazing wondering if anyone on the forums has 1 ?
How does the finish hold up or am I better off going with a stainless match elite ?
It's going to be a range gun with some ipsc match shoots also.

No contest. go for the stainless match elite, particularly while they are currently available. They have been notoriously hard to get over the past few years. The extra length and weight will make it a more accurate and faster gun to shoot.

I you find you don't like the weight, you can probably sell the match elite for close to what you paid and pick up a scorpion which are fairly plentiful. Also fwiw I've seen Scorpions where the finish did not hold up that well, so you need to baby them to keep them looking pristine (if that is important to you)

Apparently, there was an issue with the first batch of these, but the problem has since been sorted. Sig is also willing to refinish any gun if the finish is wearing off. FWIW, my 1911 Scorpion still looks brand new.
