Sig P220

I must be the "Great Nay Sayer"! Why? I shoot Sigs well, including the P220, but I find other handguns (1911s) feel better in my hands. I sold my P220 but I still own a P226 9mm, P228, P230, P239 40 S&W, and a P245. The only one of my Sigs I adore is the P228 and I will probably go to my grave owning it. Regards, Richard:D

I have one.
I would not say it's any more accurate then my other guns, but it is very solid and I like it.
My only problem is it feels too small for my hands (single stack) but it's just something you get used to.
No FTF or FTE ever, or any other problems to speak of.
As far as accessories, I have hogue gris on mine, but that's about it.

I have to agree with Richard O....the 1911 just feels better...
Having said that, two of my favourites are my P220 in stainless, as well as my stainless slide model with the DAK system..would make an awesome CCW unit.
I'm also fond of my stainless 226's, in both 9MM and 40S&W,..not to mention my 229's...one in 9MM, one in 40S&W DAK...
Come to think of it, I guess I REALLY like the 220/226/229 series!:D

My P220 was the most accurate .45acp I've ever owned. The trigger reach isn't the problem as much as the trigger pull in DA.
That can be fixed with a set of reduced load hammer springs from wolff.
I am too lazy to do that so I sold it.

P220 in 9mm and short trigger experience

I have a used P220 in 9mm. I once shot a 5-shot 1.5 inch group from 25 yards standing right-hand barricade (I am right handed) using WinClean 124gr. This is with the standard trigger.

I have smallish hands so I tried the short trigger but I think I like the standard trigger more.

The short trigger feels great when shooting DA but is a bit too short to me in SA mode. So I reverted back to the standard trigger.

IMHO it is one of the most accurate duty-style pistols around. It is a keeper.
