what ammunition works best for your gun? I just got my Sig and am wondering which brand/grain count etc is good...

I've been using Reminginton UMC 124 gr without a problem in well over 5000 rounds fired.

Last match I tried some Winclean 147 gr and had a half dozen failures to extract in the morning then fine operation in the afternoon. I don't know what the heck that was all about.

Mine shoots them all ok. But I think the 147 grainers have the accuracy edge so far. Just got my hands on a case of Win Ranger 85 grain +P+ frangibles. They are the LE only powdered copper/polymer bullets. The velocity is listed as 1430 fps from a 4" barrel

If I ever get a non-restricted Storm I think these would be devistating gopher rounds 8)

I just got mine 2 weeks ago and have already put over 1500 rounds of everything through it. Factory, factory reloads and my reloads all shoot great. I have not had one hang up or jam so far with over 10 differant types of ammo. Although, I agree with the 147gr. my favorite round to shoot so far, has came out of my 9mm HP stash. 115gr. Winchester Silver Tips. Fantstic!

I have shot almost every round available for my 9mm P226 without a problem. We all know that SIG is known for its accuracy. I had the accuracy problem when I used the American Eagle 115 grains load, my P226 does not seeem to like it and I cant seem to get at least 2" grouping from 15 yards. I spent a box of 50 and never got my desired grouping. However, when I tried using a different brand during the same shooting session, I shot a tight group with an inch grouping. It might just be me, but I never use the American Eagle brand since then and never had the same inconsistency in my grouping.

I've always found that the Geco 124gr FMJ load in the blue and black boxes is the best for target shooting in 9mm, reasonably priced and very accurate. Made in Germany too, like the gun.

I've put tons of CCI Blazer 115gr TMJ #3509 through P226s as well, very accurate load, and clean burning. Good choice if you don't handload. Has aluminum cases. They also make a brass cased load, which is more expensive.

Don't think you can get the GECO (Dynomit Nobel... or something similar) here in Canada.
