What are your guys thoughts on the Sig P226 deal thats being advertised here on CGN from Murdoc? Im looking to buy my first handgun and it looks like a nice little package. I have no place that I can handle a Sig P226 but assume they are pretty nice. Is it a good deal at $1050 for a 9mm and 22 lr?

Cheers!!

New Sig 226 in 9mm with .22 kit for $1050 is a pretty damn good deal yes. Plus if you get it and then don't like it, you'll easily make your money back.

Sounded like a great deal to me until I saw that you can buy the Sig 226R .22lr @ $619.95 and the 9mm exchange kit for $429.95 at regular prices at SFRC when they had them in. That totals $1049.90 at regular price which is actually $0.10 cheaper, so not much of a "Deal" really. If you really want one, I guess it is better to be able to get one right now than wait until SFRC gets more in stock though.

But with the addition of the E2 grip and the SRT on the P226BR, it ends up an even better deal.

Guess it really isnt that great of deal considering your observations. Thanks for the heads up!! These aren't in stock either, its a pre-sale with a spring delivery date.

Cheers!!

Why is there the $400 difference between the .22 226 and the 9mm 226? Is the frame truly the same on the both of them, and is it truly safe to use the Calibre X-Change kit as often as you would a standard 9mm upper on a 9mm Sig? Is there any difference between a standard 9mm upper and the Calibre X-Change upper? Can you use the Calibre X-Change uppers on default 9mm to change it to .40, because Sig says they're only for the Classic .22?
