Does anyone know of any stores with the Sig E2 Grip Kit in stock, for a DA/SA P226? I ordered one back in October from Questar and have gotten no news, they haven't responded to my e-mails, and the one time I called I got the very distinct impression I was wasting the guy's time (very curt, could have been a bad day, who knows).

I'm heading down to Arizona in March is this a part I can buy in the US and fly back with it in my suitcase (doubtful, but figured I'd ask)?

Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately you can't bring grips back from the USofA. :(
Post a WTB EE ad, maybe you'll find a set there. If you're getting rid of your factory grips and they're the newer textured ones, PM me. :)

I have the E2 grips, to be honest - I like the original thicker grips a little better for my large hands. It seems that more Sig's are coming from the factory with the E2 rather than the base, thicker grips. Not enough difference to swap them out, but I do understand why someone with smaller hands would like the E2's. The E2 grip is rather hard to find, from what I'm reading.

The E2 grips are quite a bitter rougher than the standard grips. Maybe see if your local gun shop has one with E2 grips and see what you think. But sorry, I don't know who has them..

I have E2 and Hogue G10 and like them both. I don't notice a huge difference with 2 exceptions: E2 makes double action and single handed shooting a little easier (trigger more accessible) and it is one piece so there is no seam up the back. But i rarely shoot double action and the G10 has a nice solid feel.

Yeah didn't think I could. My P226 is from the 90's, so older style grips.

Thanks guy's, my hands are on the smaller side and I find the stock grips just a bit too big. Are there any other grips you can recommend that would be easier to come by and smaller than the stock grips.

the E2 is still your best bet. between, questar, the calgary shooting centre, and CRAFM, one of them is bound to get some in the next while.
good luck

Thanks guy's, Calgary Shooting Centre and CRAFM have them in stock. I ordered from Calgary Shooting Centre as they are closer, should hopefully have it in the next week or so, can't wait :)

I changed out the standard grips for the E2 grip, and the pistol fit my hand much better. I don't think that I have particularly small hands, but the biggest annoyance for me in a pistol is when my right thumb can't reach the magazine release without canting my grip which was the case with the standard 226 (and many other pistols). This is probably a design feature in a combat pistol so that the operator doesn't release the magazine by mistake under stress, but I don't care - still don't like it haha. The E2 grip helped me get closer to that, but not perfect. I bought them off of ebay a year ago. They are much more "grippy" now as well incase you like shooting in the rain.

I don't see them listed on Brownell's site. Don't know where you can find these.

Sig has an agreement that ZERO Sig parts can be shipped to Canada (not sure about internationally) from any of their US dealers. Brownells will not ship Sig parts to Canada. You "can" get aftermarket SIG parts shipped from the US to Canada provided that the manufacturer is on the registered ITAR list eg. Hogue.

It's stupid because I don't think they realize that there is a good market for product in Canada,I hope we see more stuff start to flow into Canada now that another importer is in the mix.

This is pretty standard when a firearm manufacturer signs a company with sole distribution rights in Canada.
