I keep shooting low and to the right. The group looks like an oval from the centre of the target going to the edge of it, and I am right handed. But when I shot 8 rounds out of my friend's 45 Auto Kimber all the holes were grouped around the centre of the target... what am I doing wrong??? the SIG is used and I am afraid something is wrong with it or that something is horriblely wrong with me  :(

Have someone else shoot your 226 and see how it groups. You may have to have the rear sight pushed over a bit for windage, and to change the hold on the target (POI vs 6 O'clock). If other people are shooting your 226 "true", refer to this:

bingo! :D :D :D

as mentioned above get someone else to shoot it, or try shooting from a rest adn see what gives

When I got my sig It shot to shoot low left, but using my 1911 it was hitting center. I found the difference was getting used to the grip. Now iy shoots center.

what distance?

I got my P226 almost a year ago and had a hell of a time with it.
Kept drifting down and to the left. I let a couple of other guys
fire it...........and lets just say the Sig wasn't the problem.
It was very fustrating because with other guns I didn't have this problem.
I replaced the original grips with a set from Hogue. They make 2
differant styles, I got the ones with finger grooves.
After much practice my grouping improved. It may have been the
short barrel, the guns weight or just the feel of the gun that was the
problem, but as a bonus, I found my accuracy with my other guns improving
as I was "struggling" with the Sig.
Good luck.

come out to the next Skills and Drills night and I am sure we can fix you up.
