Has anyone seen/touched/played with a Sig P226 Sport Stock ? Stainless frame, extended controls, match barrel, adjustable sights ? Any Canadian dealers/prices ? Damn they look nice :D

The Shooting Edge had two but they were both sold several months ago . They retailed for over $2000.00 ($2095.00 or $2195.00 IIRC)

Mass, did you get to play with it ? I am really curious how the controls felt...

The price tag is a bit steep but with all the extras, not bad I guess. It should take standard mags and even fit in standard holsters ?

Complete and utter nonsense

I was just flipping through the Sig catalogue and that one's features list really caught my eye. Then I saw the Black Specials.... now I want one of those again

Does anyone even have a pic of the P226S from the other side ? I really want to see the extended controls

At that price, why not get an X5?

Because it would cost close to $3k?
Hmm, I thought they were cheaper than that.

That is suggested retail price. You may find them cheaper, but not much.
You gotta ask yourself why!! We know how much materials are worth, along with labour and all that other stuff.WHy so much? Its certainly not the stores fault that the price is so high. There is very little markup on them.

....simply because some people will pay that much!

Because they are special production run guns made in small quantities and utilizing more hand fitting of precise components. The same reason the P2102 are now over $3k. Still you get what you pay for as they shoot particularly well, but there is a law of diminishing returns here. You may never notice the better accuracy, or you may be willing to pay anything to achieve it.
