Sig P226 vs Beretta 92

Silly video with not much in the way of information. This might have been current in the mid 80's but that was then and this is well 40 years later.

I chuckled and cringed a few times.

"This Norinco NP22 is the same as a SIG P226" and "This Shadow 2 is a clone of the CZ 75."

Not to mention the dolphin part (I won't ruin the surprise and let people discover for themselves).

Thank goodness I watched until the end and thanks for the good laugh!

Thumbs up!

I have not watched that VID.

I had the 92F, it was one of those Italian police surplus ones. It had tiny front sight and it was hard to get a sight picture. So I sold it and bought the 92A1 and sold that and got the 92M1A, the gold one that comes in the fancy box. Honestly I cannot shoot any of these guns well but I know they are good guns. I just have barely shot the gun.

I had the P226 as well but just never really liked the gun and sold it.

For my money the CZ Shadow I is more gun for less money.

I have 4 different 92/96 variants, all are very good shooters, the feel, reliability and accuracy is on par with my shadow 2, I have not owned a 226 but I did have a 220 match elite and it was by far the worst hand gun that is or was part of my collection.

Curious what you didn't like about the match elite?

It was brand new and would not function properly, with a decent amount of grip pressure the trigger would not reset until you loosened your grip. Turns out that you can squeeze the grips enough to pinch the trigger bar between the grip and the magazine. Replacing the trigger bar and grips did nothing to fix the issue. The trigger bar is cut in a punch press and causes a slight cupping effect and had to have it either filed, sanded or machined flat to remove the cupping then have it re blued and also needed to remove the slight ridges on the inside of the grips left over from the molding process and then it was only 100% reliable with certain mags. It is not a fluke problem, I have since duplicated this same issue with several other 220's.
