Does anyone know if a Gen 1 weight will fit a Gen II pistol?

You might want to ask on Sig Talk. Lots of Gen 1 and 2 aficionados there.

My guess is the fit would not be good - not flush to the frame or slide given the different profiles of gen 1 and gen 2 guns. They also have different attachments. Gen 1 weight relies on several side screws. Gen 2 weight or mount uses a single screw underneath. A Gen 2 weight would definitely not work on a Gen 1 gun. I'd probably look for a Gen 2 weight. They are not as rare as the Gen 1. Very few gen 1s with the rail.

Thanks for the responses. This confirms I need to look for a Gen II weight. I signed up for the Sig forum - lots of good information.
