Sig P228 - Are They Around?

I did a build on one of the Dlask DAC-394 pistols, but didn't have the tools, nor the skills to bring it to completion, so I sold it off a few years back. I had the opportunity to shoot a P229 recently and it felt much different in the hand than the 228 clone did. My interest is more out of curiousity than really wanting to buy one, but good to know that if I do see one, it's rare. I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks guys!

I have a 228 and three Dlask assembled DAC-394. Two 394 are like the 228 and one of the 394 was built as a long barrel comp gun.

The Sig P228 is my personal favorite.

these are 12.6 I ran one in IPSC last year with a SRT.. It shot better than I did ;)
Well balanced, compact and (designed to be) high capacity in 9mm .. win-win.

The only other Sig I want is a P239 (9mm) restricted ....

these are still some of the nicest Classic Sigs around. i have two on the EE but they are prohibited and it would be cool if they stayed that way.
Who makes the 106mm barrels to classify them as restricted? I cant imagine that the accuracy would be affected at all.

The SRT on these pistols makes for a great trigger!

106mm Bar-Sto match barrel on my 228 (and Robar NP3 finish)...

P228 are great pistols, much nicer than the recent P229 or M11. The balance of the stamped slide is much different than the stainless milled slide...

I still have 1 restricted german NIB P228 with black Ilaflon finish in my safe; I believe it must be pretty much an unique piece here in Canada.

I thought you could still buy them new?

Sig came out with the m11 not that long ago. It's a 228 with Cnc machined slide instead of the older stamped steel slides of the original and come with the newer short reset trigger. Haven't seen them in Canada but I'm sure somebody like questar could bring them in with legal barrels if there was enough demand.

Love my P228... the second pistol I ever bought. Modified mine. Some might not like it, but I think the E2 grip enhances the pistol. Added a short tirigger a long time ago, but recently added a SRT trigger package with retrofit of parts.

Give that nitron finish a drop of oil; it looks bone dry!

I'll try to get some pictures of mine, this thing hasn't seen the light of day in a while :)
