Hello some one is giving me is sig p228 prohibited how do make it restricted
Changing barrel where do i get it?
How to change class?

A Prohib P228 is worth way more prohib than restricted, if i were you i would resell it in prohib class and buy yourself a nice P226.

Buy a threaded version of the barrel which will add an additional 1/2" to the overall barrel length. Have your buddy call the CFO and notify them of the new barrel length and have it reclassified then transfer it to your name.

I believe the P228 will take the same barrel as the new P229 model... don't hold me to that. lol

You might be able to get Questar to order a Storm Lake threaded barrel for you. Maybe contact MD Charlton and see if they carry a factory P229 threaded barrel?

P229 old style barrels fit. I haven't found a barrel from the new style of slides, but the old barrel doesn't fit the new slide properly, seems too tall.

I probably have one somewhere. Questar offer an extended/unthreaded barred which is cheaper and not as long, I don't think they have any in stock.
