Sig p228

Thanks guys, I did see the M11 from Questar, it is an option I am open to. I had a Norinco copy a while ago that was decent but I would like to get a real one. The M11 is more similar to a 229 than a 228from what I can see. It may take quite a while to get one of those with the shortage in the states right now too.

I'm afraid you are correct about the wait times for a new M11 although I did go ahead and order one. The 229 is probably my favourite pistol and the one I shoot the best. There's lots of debate about the milled slide VS the original slide and to see the difference I bought a 228R when they were available a couple of years ago. For me I find no difference in accuracy or handling, although I do like the full height slide serrations which the new M11 has as well. As for the "new" extractor I haven't seen any problems reported other than people don't like the way it looks. My 229 Elite ST has one and it works fine.
 
I have looked into importing a 228 and having the barrel switched to make it restricted. For the amount of hassle involved I figured it easier to just order a M11 and wait for it. From all if the reviews I have read it has been well rec'd so far. I am looking forward to it.
