Sig P229 Stainless Elite....

I got mine from Questar. It was here a lot faster than I expected and as always the service from Questar was excellent. Yes it was a little "pricey" but I have wanted one for quite some time and I have never seen anyone stocking them in Canada.
Fit and finish is superb and it shoots great. Mine has the "new" style slide which I really like as well. I was concerned that the old style 229 mags would not work as well with the pistol but they function just fine.

Could you post some pics please.

Hey kcx223, did you get yours in 9mm or .40 S&W? I've got the P226 in 9mm, and a Sig 1911 SC and Sig P220 in .45, so was thinking of going the .40 route as I don't have one.....wondering how the P229 is for recoil with the snappier round, for muzzle flip.

Mines a 9mm but it would be great in .40 as well. I'm sure the extra weight would help tame recoil. That being said the 229 was originally designed for the .40 so the pistol is good in it's original form. I have a 229 in .40 as well and I don't find the recoil or muzzle flip to be bad at all. I got the 9mm version just because most of my pistols are 9mm's and I already have lots of 229 9mm mags.
I don't have any pic's yet but I'll get around to doing that soon. I replaced the wood grips with black Hogue G-10 grips and a regular trigger as it came with the "short" trigger.
