Ok, so my Google-fu tells me these have only so-so reliability, without specifics as to why.

Anyone care to tell me the pro's and con's of this little gem. Suitable for a first handgun?

I very much liked how the one at P&D fit my hand...

They don't have a great track record for large contracts (Norway and federal air marshals). On the other hand many individual owners have reported excellent reliability and comfort and large government contracts just as often have political motivations as well.

Many individual owners report good reliability and accuracy and I've not heard many complaints. Again, on the other hand it's just what I've heard on the internet.

So best answer: buy the sucker, if you don't like it sell it, if you like it then keep it. ;)

Nutnfancy (YouTube) has a review on it - he has a raging one for it.

Try out a s&w m&p 9, 40, 45 or 357....

Love that gun!

I want one. Love the way this gun looks.

Actually, I did try out the M&P 9... Sadly even with the small backstrap, it didn't seem to quite fit my hand. Something about the swell or shape, I think. Which is pretty good news, because I was planning on ordering it blindly from an online retailer.

I was trying to stay in 9mm as I've stockpiled boatloads to shoot through my CX-4.

Oddly enough, the Beretta 92fs fits may hand quite well... (?)

I didn't like the reset on the trigger, but it is the smoothest DAO trigger I have ever tried. Size was good for my smallish hands too.
