Sig PE90

I heard Sig USA would make PE90s in the US. I hope they do, would bring the price down!

Heard ammo's a problem though, is that correct?
The rumor about SIG starting production of a 55x / PE-90 style rifle in the USA is just that, a rumor. It has been floating around the American boards for the past couple of years. Not going to happen, just ask SIG! 
Besides, most of the guys agitating for them, also say they'll refuse to pay anything more that $1,000 US for one! Their reasoning is why should they pay more than what they pay for a good AR-15? Anyone who owns both a Swiss Arms/SIG rifle and an AR-15 will tell you! Considering the fact that genuine SIGs are selling for $8,000 - $12,000 US in the States (due to the import ban) right now, you'd think they'd be willing to fork over a little more dough than that!

.223 is alittle scarce out west. seems the only importers are from the east and have trouble sending it west for whatever reason....

SigArms is talking about a US version. However this will be a variant of the SG55X/PE90 which is PROHIBITED in Canada.
I probably get one call a month from someone who tried to import a used PE90 from Europe and when customs siezed it, they cried foul... In most cases we have been able to assist these guys with re-exporting the rifles before destruction. However, our rifles have been made especially for us to meet Canadian guidelines. If it doesn't come from the Swiss factory designated for the Canadian market, it won't get in... This is not a marketing ploy, this is the reality. Remember, our rifle has been through the RCMP forensic lab along with original SG55X/PE90 rifles.

Think there's lots here next door in AB, Try P&D , Mil-Arm or Wild West in Edmonton. I think Wolverine has American Eagle in case lot also. I've never had a problem getting .223
