Hi,

I have currently a np22. (Sig226clone clone)
And I wanted to upgrade to a real sig. Then I got looking and saw all these different models and was wondering what the difference between the 250. 226. 229. Is there any I miss? I saw the 350 too was the newer version and 250 was a bit longer? And also 250 was like 400 cheaper.
Can anyone give me some info they got. Thanks

The p250 is a discontinued model using a polymer frame and hammer fired. It's been replaced by the p320. The sig p226 is the full size version of their all metal hammer fired pistols. The p228 and p229 are just smaller sized models. The p220 and p227 are full sized versions of the p226 chambered in .45acp.

Honestly forget the p250. It's discontinued...hence why it's so cheap. Either get the p320 or p226. For sure the interchangeable parts between the p250 and p320 are the grip module, mag release, magazines, sights. Not sure about the barrels and trigger components. Parts for the p226 are plentiful especially if you go to brownells. The p320 being relatively new, its parts are a bit scarce.

To be honest it's hard for me to pick either the p320 or the p226 for you. You have to go to a gun store and handle both and decide for yourself. Even better if you can shoot both. You can't go wrong with either one.

Thanks man. I want to also get it to convert to 22 also the np22 norinco was nice but now I want the real one lol.:)

Then the P226 it is! No 22 conversion kits on the P320 as of yet, if they happen at all.

If it helps, I've owned all the P22x's, and the P320 is my favourite above all of them :)

Ya I'm thinking p320 then get a sig misqueto for 22lr. Maybe they have them at the gun range to try.

.... I just picked up a SIG Mosquito... Still waiting on the reg cards to get it out and shooting it... But in the mean time since I couldn't wait, I picked up a GSG 1911 in .22lr and absolutely love it! I put 600 rounds down the pipe the first day, it was that fun- and accurate too! You might want to have a look at GSG as well, if you're looking into .22.

Not sure where you guy's are getting your info about the P250 being discontinued. The only P250 model showing " discontinued" on Sig website is the two toned version.
