Sig Range Finder Oopsie

So somehow I never noticed that I had left my Sig Kilo1400BDX rangefinder on the hood of my jeep yesterday while out shooting with some students. At least, I didn't noticed until it came flying off the hood at 110kmh on the highway. I got to see it bounce down the highway and then into the ditch in my mirrors. I contemplated just to keep driving but decided not to leave trash on the side of the road so I turned around and headed back. Luckily there were no cars behind me at the time and after a little searching through the ditch I found it. It was battered and had some serious road rash but that bloody thing still worked which amazed me. I was sure the thing would have been a pile of broken glass and plastic and metal.

Its good to hear that it still works. Now it will have that Mad Max "battle worn" look that is all the rage.

Now thats funny! Haha but on a serious note its impressive to see how tuff that Sig rangefinder is.

That is impressive. I've got the same one but haven't tested it that hard. I have a pair of the bdx binoculars I really like too. I bet they wouldn't survive a similar drop though...
