Sig Romeo 5

Not a Romeo 5, but I have a Sig Romeo 4 that I use on my 14 inch Mossberg 590a1. VERY Impressed.

Been on there for about 7 months now, and over 400 rounds of Buck/Slug and Hundreds of Target load. Zeroed once for slugs and has stayed dead on since day with with the factory mount. I am purchasing a Romeo 5 as we speak for another firearm because of this red dot.

I have Vortex Red dots that have never failed me either, but really like the crispness and simple buttons, and auto on with movement feature on the Sig Red dots.

Thanks for the info.

The big plus for the Sig is the auto on.
The negative to me is the 2moa red dot.

The big plus is the 6moa red dot.
The Big minus for the Viper is the battery underneath.

Vortex viper returns to zero pretty well. Due to the machined in bosses on the mount. No issues with replacing battery. I've got 9 matches 3000+ rounds on mine and still on orginial battery.

Well I decided on the Viper.

Reasons being:
-Only $279 and I could probably get my money back if I don't like it
-my eye sight sucks until I get surgery
-for the amount of use it will get I'm not worried about the battery being underneath
-If I don't like it the Sig Romeo4M's(looked at the 4B's which are here now but Sig discontinued them) will be available here in in a few weeks and I'll switch over.
