well, it's a clone , not the actual sig sauer, but the top end and hammer/sear/trigger parts are sig sauer parts
here's the problem
was out shooting with my friend today and he brought along his sig 229
first few mags were perfect, love this pistol, might have to get one hehehe
now it is a da/sa and i'm a 1911 guy so my ability to figure out the problem is insufficient.
the trigger, when pulled from double action, occasionally sticks back in the pulled position
a gently nudge and it clicks forward.
it is flawless in single action
we removed the grip on the disconnect side and had a look at how the parts were interacting.
in single action, the trigger bar contacts the disconnect , moving it forward and releasing the sear as it should.
in double action, and only once in a while, the trigger bar post that actuates the disconnect slips under the flange on the disconnect and the trigger binds in pulled position.
we've watched every video we can find on the pistol and can't clearly see how these parts interact in double action
in single action the trigger bar disconnect post does not drop low enough to even come close to slipping under the disconnect flange and functions fine
in double action...... is it supposed to have the same contact on the disconnect flange?
or should it be passing underneath the disconnect flange? if so, I suppose maybe the top of the trigger bar's disconnect post is burred maybe and needs polishing so it won't bind as it passes under the disconnect flange?
we're kinda stumped and I've got to leave soon for the 6 hour drive home
