Not sure if I raised my expectations way too high or this magnifier is still malfunctioning.
Got the Juliet6 second hand over a trade from US. When I mount it behind a brand new Vortex Sparc AR red dot, I see a line instead of a dot.
I rotated the rail the line rotates, I can even make a picture of a line with my cellphone. So this is not a problem with my eyes...Also the Vortex red dot alone by naked eye looks perfect, only in combination with the magnifier I am getting this gost line. Also to mention, that a problem was the alignment between the two I could not manage with supplied spacers only way to machine a custom spacer.
So I returned the Vortex to a store, maybe the two units not compatible, the coating on two different brand optics, or the Vortex just not meant to work with a x6 magnifier?
Today I picked up a Sig Sauer Romeo7, hoping the same brand two units shall now work together.
The store had a Sig Romeo7 demo unit, right there at the counter I mounted on a rail and aligned both the red dot and the magnifier, and again I see a line instead of a single dot, indeed a line is smaller-shorter.
OK, no problem, I grabbed the very last box from shelfs, I need a red dot anyway, and I will figure the rest on the fly.
Tinkering not wise these days me to send the Juliet6 to Sig US across the border,
do we have a well equipped optics service center in Canada who can have a closer look?
