People that own a Sig Sauer m400 or have owned one. What are your impression of it. Any issues? Is A colt Le6920 worth a $300-400 hundred dollars more?

I've had my M400 since last summer and about 500 rounds later, I'm very happy with it. Aside from one double feed, it has run flawlessly on both 5.56 green tip and .223 ball. Quality, as expected from Sig.

My buddy has one. Ran like a champ out of the box. I like the fact it came with an ambi-mag release for us lefty shooters. The trigger is your typical heavy mil-spec trigger. Put a some of that $400 difference over the Colt towards a Geissele trigger.

I love mine, got it last summer as well. Well made and a tight fit between the upper and lower. Only minor issue Ive had is that it doesnt like the coated steel case ammo in cold weather. It eats up everything else.
I have only about 300 rds down range so maybe its still working itself in. I dont mind the trigger but I shoot milsurps all the time.

Yes I red about the tight fit on the upper and lower. I think that is a huge bonus. I do not like things that rattle. It makes them seem cheap. Can anyone confirm if the Colts upper and lower rattle at all? Also the good point about Colt having the highest resale value

I have one. Can't beat the quality for the price. Nice and tight, good furniture. Most of the bells and whistles you need to start with. Mine needed to run really wet at first but now runs dry just as well (well, drier..). I myself, like the trigger...so not sure what the above posters are saying. I have little to no slack in my trigger. Anyways, get one. You will not regret it.

Oh, it's ambi mag release is a nice touch too

Are you asking about Colt Rifles out of the US or Colt (Diemaco) Rifles out of Ontario, Canada? Although the Canadian rifle is based on the Colt design, there are over 200 improvements to the Canadian rifle that make it a far better rifle. An SA20 for instance has numerous improvements to make it a tight fitting and in some cases a long lasting rifle. It was upgraded to meet our weather and the requirements of the Canadian Military for a rugged rifle. We just don't have the resources to replace these rifles as often as the US.

Legend goes that you can pick up a US made Colt rifle and give it a shake, it will rattle. Pick up a Cold Canada rifle and give it a shake, it's rock solid. It's made to be abused, to be of service in our coldest climates and to last.

I've shot a number of different "rentals" at my gun range before getting my RPAL. I didn't like seeing that flash out of the corner of my eye when the powder ignited. But, I don't see a dam thing with my SA20.

Colt Canada is coming out with the new range of rifles this summer and I think they will be well worth the money. Buy Canadian and keep the economy rolling.
