Now that I've fondled the P224 I NEED IT, lets get SIG Sauer on board in making a tactical P224! Already has 10rd mags in .40 and .357 SIG. Just need to pin the 9mm mags.

Not the best photoshop I've ever done but it gets the point across!

Just need to get the ball rolling with SIG and we'll be gravy. I talked to a few reps at the booth and most seemed to be positive about the idea.

way too small for my big paws
Yeah, quite small in the grip. If it had a pinky rest on the grip it would be a little bit easier to hold. It was just too cute to say no to though. Out of everything at the SHOT show, this was on the top of my 'need' list.

Same length barrel as the P239 and they make a 'tactical' barrel for that. I figure if I bug my SIG supplier enough and send some e-mails to SIG themselves they might just get this up and running in a year or two... I may be dreaming but its a cool thought.

Nothing tactical about that short grip.

The 229 is not just a barrel added for length but actual use. I don't think Sig makes the tactical models for us, they do it because they are actually tactical, not tacticool.

Whoever is doing the importing would have to actually supply aftermarket barrels, and that would put the price up there I imagine. Probably not a huge market either by the number of G26/27's and Sig 239's I see.

The 239 is an option, and is a more ergonomic grip I'd say. Sig actually makes the tactical model so import is a breeze.

I'll take a full size Sig. I have a hard time already finding a grip large enough for my monstrous mitts. What just came in the mail, a 226 Enhanced Elite. (Kid in the Candy Store...). These tiny guns are for girls and concealment purposes (can't do that here anyway). That's why they make them so small. Good in a pinch, but not made for everyday plinking.

I somehow doubt that when SIG chambered this in .357SIG they were thinking "Girl Gun" Some people just like the small guns, myself included. I don't have very large hands but it actually felt quite good in the hand for its size.

I don't think this gun will sell well....just a hunch. I'm hearing lots of people say they want one, but I'm hearing equal amounts of negative responses.

Something like that is for concealed carry. Most of us will never carry, so why not shoot something with better ergonomics?

I think anyone who's ever carried consealed would agree that a choosing a pistol like this could be problimatic.

The width of the pistol is quite thick...looks almost as a thick as my 226. What is most concerning is the $1000+ price.

I think with the above said and the availabliy of smaller, ligther and higher cap pistols like the kahrs and the glocks...sigs new line will have trouble getting off the ground.
