Will these fit a late model P226 in 40 cal? I've had a Bar-sto conversion barrel on order for a year and a half with no delivery date given, even paid a deposit. Be nice to just get this instead.

I looked into it further and I think a 9mm barrel in a 40 cal slide is a loose fit and should NOT be done. A 40 to 9 conversion barrel is required.

The outer dimension of the barrel is the same for 9/40. The only potential issue with a 9mm barrel in a .40cal pistol is the ejector may not work as efficiently.

... and the recoil spring is different. There have been discussions on this in the past. I bought the whole X-Change kit when I wanted to swap.

The locking block is also different. This would be an ill advised experiment to try. You can switch between .40 and 357 Sig but going to 9mm will require a custom barrel.
