hello fellow CGNs,
I though I gathered good info about the P226 .22LR that it is actually a full size pistol and share "exactly" the same frame as P226 9mm...

But today, I went to a gun store and the young fellow seles said that he felt different in his hand.
that the P226 .22LR felt lighter, even taking out the slide and comparing the frames, he felt "cheap" on the .22LR's....

I did not have the chance to have both guns on hand and examine them side by side and feel it..

Would some of you has direct experience or own both that could share with me , would really appreciate it!

I am aiming to P226 .22LR and buy later on x-change kit in 9mm.

Hopefully the young sale was just trying to "sell" two guns instead of one-ish....

Thanks for your sharing in advance.

The salesperson is wrong. They are the same receivers for 22LR and 9mm. Keep in mind, there are some receivers that are made from steel ie 226 Stainless and some have beaver tails which may add to the heavier weight in some receivers.

The most cost effective way to get a 22LR and a centerfire 226 was to buy a 22LR pistol and then buy the centerfire X-Change kit.

Thanks to clarify that for me!!!
I though I read enough, but the young man was so certain....
keeping an eye on EE...
cheers
