I was proposed and interesting trade with one of these and cant find out much infor about them. Do any of you have any experience or know anything about them? Thanks
 
The SIG SHR 970 rifles are outstanding!!

Had one in .270 and now on reflection should have never traded it away :|

Just an excellent all around rifle. Accurate, mag fed, crisp trigger, tought as snot and just great.

This post is making me sad :cry: I miss my ole Sig.

Hunter's Sporting Goods in Surrey B.C. had two a while back. Brand new synthetic ones. I can't remember the calibers but they were around $800 IIRC. I do know for sure that they were well under $1000.
 
Great rifles. Very smooth and accurate. If you can get the right trade, go for it. For the price they are much better quality than most of the rifles offered today IMHO. They also have a quick change barrel system if you are interested in pursuing that avenue and securing additional barrels. Extra barrels are pricey though.
