The pricing that IRunGuns offers it at Vs Tactical Import is quite remarkable. Even more so with the waived import fees and the almost on-par dollar with the greenback.
Sure one can say that it’s US made SSIG Vs German made SIG. I wonder however if the $2,000 extra is justified…actually it’s $2,000 on sale and more like $3,000 extra for the German made SIG.
Is it actually fully US made? I was under the impression the action and some other components were still German. Either way it's still a great price, and has received great reviews.
That I do not know.
What I do know is that if they were as smart as H&K and brought over their own machines, tools and QC folks from Germany, I wouldn't hesitate in purchasing a fully made USA SIG SSG 3000.
The McMillan stock isn't included in the SIG USA rifle package and could be for some a deal breaker..but not a $3,000 deal breaker for me!

This worries me, because I want to buy one asap for the chance at German made. Im sure US quality will be great but I would have to wait and see if that's the case from range reports.Reports are German stamped barrels. Receivers that just say 'Exeter, NH'. Not 'Made in the U.S.A' like you would think. Trigger and Bolt is German. Personally, I think the whole thing is German, for now. When they get everything running, it will be ALL U.S made. Get a Cheap German one while you can.
Stock has aluminum bed from receiver right up through the full fore-end. Receiver has 4 mounting points.
Google search brings up forums with owners shooting .600 - .700 M.O.A. Some as low as .300. This RIfle shoots just as good as the $4000 version.
The only difference is that they dropped the $1500 McMillan Stock.
Also, I don't have much experience with precision shooting , is .600 - .700 good? Is that comparable to similar rifles in price range?
Yes, despite what you will read on the interweb, for a tactical type rifle that is quite good. - dan
