Just received my brand new X5 Tactical from Questar. This is the first Sig I have ever owned, and I must say I am really impressed with the fit and finish. Made in Germany, of course. I was surprised how heavy the gun is, especially since it has an alloy frame. I imagine the X5 "standard" must be exceptionally heavy, given the weight of the tactical. Camera is broken, so I won't have pics up until the weekend. Hopefully will get it out to the range this weekend too!

Like it alot, there's just something about the five inch and bevertail that makes the X5 stand out over the standard 226. Was thinking about trying the 226 elite in stainless first as it is cheaper, paying off the old student loan:(, then going for the allround.
 
Nice! The X-5 looks like a fantastic gun! I've been coveting one for a while. Did you buy it from Questar or did they import it for you?

Got it from Questar. They happened to have one in stock - price was right and I had the cash from another sale :cool:
 
Well I FINALLY got a chance to get this to range to try it out. I only had time for about 60 rounds :( But, I was very pleased. The gun felt well balanced, the trigger was exceptionally smooth, and accuracy was great. After all these years of being an HK devotee, I am finally seeing the light....

Didn't you sell it on EE to get an Elcan?

Ahhh the X5 and Elcan. You know I'm sitting here patiently waiting for you to get bored with these 2 items so that you can sell them to me. ;)
