Sighted in my 7x57 Mauser

Congrats... great all-around cartridge, right up there with 6.5x55 and 30-06 as my favourite. Still looking for an unmolested Brno 21 in 7x57 to complete my collection

Just found me one of them. All original. Picking it up later this week.

I have 2 - 7x57 Rifles. One is an all original Remington 700 Classic, the other an all
original Push feed Winchester M70 Featherweight.
Both these rifles are very accurate. I use Reloder 17 with the 140's [760 or H414 both work fine as well]
Reloder 19 & 100V are great with the 150/154 weight bullets, and Norma MRP is my powder of choice for the 160s.
The 7x57 is one of my all time favorite chamberings.
With mine I have taken Black bear, Whitetails, Muleys, Moose, Elk, Sheep, Blacktails and a number of lesser
Varmint-type animals. What is not to like? Mild mannered and effective. Dave.

I've got a tang safety Ruger 77 in 7x57mm that I scored off the EE here many years ago. It will do sub 1" 3 shot groups. So, the ctg & that have made me keep 'er all these years.

THAT is a beautiful example of a Ruger M77 rifle! Definitely a keeper imho.

I prefer the MKII rifles, but have had many tang safety rifles over the years.

My Robert's and 7X57 are in this group;

My first tang safety M77 was used in .300 Win Mag with a 24" barrel.

Would do clover leaf 3 shot groups at 100 with 70 gr IMR4350 behind a 180 gr SP.

Hence, no hesitation in picking up that 7x57mm many years ago off the EE here when it was posted for sale.

Thanks for the load suggestions guys. I don't currently load for the 7x57 but it is something I want to get around to doing. I was hoping to try a bullet in the 140 gr. area and a softer load.

I didn't think that 257 Roberts ammo would be so difficult to find but I did manage to buy dies, bullets and brass on here. I think I will pick up some RL-19 then find time to head to the reloading bench.

I also have a new Mauser 6.5x55 that I assembled a couple of years ago with help from the good folks at TEC. It has been sighted in but needs some more attention. A new set of dies in the cupboard for that rifle as well.

Now to find a 260 Rem and a 250 Savage.

My 7x57 with 140gr TSX bullets shoots great with 51gr of reloder 19, close to 2900fps out of my Shelen barrel

Win 760/H414.......use mag primers.Awesome in the 7mm-08 ,.284 + .250-3000 as well

43.5 gr of Win 748 and a 120gr horandy bullet gave me fabulous groups in a fireforming load for my Tikka in 7mm-08
