Hello,

After you install a new adjustable rear sight for 1911, how do you sight in the gun without using a fancy bench rest? Would you recommend the "6:00 hold" (balancing the bullseye on top of your aligned sight picture) or do you have another favourite point of aim (and at what distance)?

I am looking for any step-by-step instructions and any tips that anybody may have about sighting in a 1911 with an adjustable (Bo-Mar) rear sight. As mentioned no fancy benchrest is available. The gun will be shot at targets placed anywhere between 3 to 25 yards.

Thanks in advance,

Most modern handguns are designed to "drive the dot"...if you sight all your guns this way, you will never forget!:) ;) Start at 3-5m and see where she shoots...nothin' fancy, and work from there.:D
